Track Nationals: Justin Mallet takes bronze!
[Thu Aug 26 4:56:25 PDT 2010]
Dieppe's Justin Mallet finally took bronze in the U17 Omnium competition in Bromont during the Track Nationals. Over the four events (500 m TT, sprint, Point and Scratch races) he collected 15 points. Quebec's Marc-Antoine Noel took gold with 5 and Lambert Gatineau followed with 13. Mallet's team mate, Marc Evers also did well finishing 3rd in the scratch race, but unfortunately went down in the last event and could not finish. Since the rain delayed some events, the 2000m individual pursuit had to be cancelled and pulled out of this omnium competition.

[Wed Aug 25 7:16:51 PDT 2010]
Sport NB is currently promoting the ‘Thumbs Up for Sport Campaign’ which encourages athletes/coaches/sport enthusiasts to send in photos of them showing their support for increasing sport funding. If you have already sent this on to your athletes, great! I did see quite a few athletes from your TG send photos and sign up already. The important part is to send an e-card. This online card will be sent to all leaders of the 5 political parties for the upcoming election. The letter is pre-written and allows for you to edit as well. If you haven’t done so already, it would be great if you could help the cause and pass it along to other coaches/athletes/admin in your sport. The link is located below. ...
