Para-cycling introduction and assessment camp
[Mon Jan 6 5:50:41 PST 2014]
Come meet with the National Cycling Centre, Velo NB and Cycling Canada staff and volunteers. At this camp we will introduce you to the various aspects of para-cycling – what the options open to you are based on your disability and level, show you some of the equipment we have available for you to use and do a little testing to see if you think cycling would be a good sport for you. If you already have some cycling gear please bring it to the camp so we can see if you have the right setup and see if maybe we can optimize your performance – either on your current setup or with something we have for you to borrow. We will also talk about events for para-cycling, local, national and even international – stuff to get you excited and planning!!
We would like to meet with each of you individually....

Mike's Bike Shop Cup - Course update.
[Tue Aug 20 4:15:17 PDT 2013]
Just a little update on the Mike's Bike Shop Cup. Last week, we had to postpone du to road work. Well, the road work is still going on, but the racing must keep on going!
So we'll take the same course, but we'll have to shorten it from 15 to 11 km. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the 11 km course (same start / finish line on Calhoun) should be a good challenge to all still. If you look at the initial map we had published, the new turnaround will be just before we go over highway 2.
Hope to see you all in good number this evening for a 7PM start!
Subway BMX Track finally open!
[Sat Aug 3 6:36:55 PDT 2013]
This summer, we are trying a partnership with the RC Club (remote control cars) to see if it would not help us out bringing more people to the track as well as to help us with the up keep of the Subway BMX track.
Now that those renovations are (almost) complete, we are very pleased to switch the red dot for a green on on top of this page, signaling the track is now "open". For the initial few weeks, the subway BMX track will be opened every sunday 6-8PM until it starts freezing. Depending on participation, we will take a decision on extra open times.
So all you BMX enthousiast, show up at the track (behind the Velodrome) on Sunday evening for a good adrenaline rush!
ATLANTIC OPEN TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS - Weather update
[Sat Jul 27 4:52:55 PDT 2013]
It’s a real tough call at the moment. It was nice a sunny when I woke up, and now the clouds are rolling in. Weather network is predicting some rain for 9 AM and throughout the day today. But the important part is that it’s going to be nice tomorrow.
So at the moment, the best thing to do is the say that what was on the schedule for this evening (fun sprints) will be included in tomorrow's program (still schedule to start a 11).
As for the mini camp, we will have more leverage to move it around. And we can also switch it to a nice road ride as the rain is not expected to be cold at all.
