[-]minimize [-]minimize Velo NB, The National Cycling Centre - Atlantic, and the Canadian Cycling Association are partnering to bring a community level introduction to cycling program to as many communities in New Brunswick as we can reach. The program is designed to introduce safe cycling skills to children aged 9 - 12 and can be taught by parents or community recreation staff as well as cyclists like yourselves. The course is called "Let's Ride" and we are excited about the potential it has to teach children good safe skills as well as introduce them to the world of organized cycling.
We need two things for this to succeed - community liaison people and course instructors in many communities. Interested? We are looking to you to become involved in this program - your level of involvement could be up to you - from someone who teaches the course to the children in their local school or youth group up to the community learning facilitator ( you would teach others how to give the course).
This course is designed to be self supporting in terms of revenue and course instructors will earn a reasonable income for their time and effort.
The GO NB program has given their backing to this launch and we are excited about the possibilities. We have two opportunities for training to become involved in this program - May 7/8 in Dieppe or May 22/23 at the Atlantic Coaching Symposium in PEI.

[-]minimize [-]minimize After talking with many of the parents, I realized many had planed other stuff during the long weekend. Like last year, we’ll push our sessions to Monday evening at 6 pm (until 7:15) for the Let’s Ride group and at 6:30 (until 8) for the Peter Wedge Group.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
